Year End in Review!
GREETINGS! 2017 is coming to a close and what a year
it has been. Cascade Commercial RE wishes you and your families a great holiday
season. Team members Theresa Neal and myself have so many things to be grateful
for - our own families, friends and business associates, but mostly we are
grateful for YOU – all of YOU that have worked with us in such a great year.
Here are some yearend observations:

Rents are up, yet slowing
Ø
CAP rates are down
Ø
Inventory is still low
Ø
More and more buildings charge for water/sewer/garbage
Ø
There has been some interesting government
involvement in the City of Seattle and tenant rights/landlord responsibilities
Ø
People are still moving into Seattle like crazy!
Ø
2018 will be a big year for apartment
development. It is anticipated that 14,500 units will open up. Of course this
will influence rent and vacancies
We have helped clients sell properties and buy properties in a very
strong market. We all thought 2016 was great, but 2017 proved to be even
better!
If it
has been a while since you've had a market valuation done on your
property or portfolio, now would be a great time. I am seeing values at an
all time high.
